Heading down 5/29 and from what I've been told grocery shopping is a nightmare on weekends. I'm currently looking at using Get Go Grocer Outer Banks. We're staying in the Duck area. Just do it as soon as you come aboard the island. You have Food Lion, Harris Teeter and Walmart right in one little area. I've never run into a crowd that wasn't doable in Walmart, and haven't really seen a crowd at either of the supermarkets on any day. I think a lot of people blow past them just to get closer to their house, especially those heading way north. I remember turn day at Food Lion in Corolla when it was the only show in town. Yikes. Now, down in Kitty Hawk, Food Lion is a delight. They actually got permission to drop off and put away everything before we got there. We plan on using them this year too. Much less headache than shopping ourselves.
