Is there a way to see the actual storage consume by each file version? I would like to see the actual storage consume for a specific library. The SharePoint "Site Storage Metrics" site parameters does seems to calaculate the full size of the file for each version (not shredded info). Thanks. With the workbook attached to the site - I'd like to hide all of the various libraries from the users so they will just see the home screen - while obviously allowing the macros to still access and display the various files. Essentially I need to give them read access without being able to view the library from sharepoint. If anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate the feedback. We have several libraries containing files (Word, Excel, PDF, PPT). Once these are in Approved status they are moved to a library called "Published". The problem occurs when the file has the same name in 2 (or more) libraries and are copied to "Published" library. Right now it is renaming with a suffix number after the name, but this is not ideal. Is it possible to have the same name on both (or several) files if the metadata is different? It now currently has 1.6k items. I have exported that SharePoint list to an excel file but when I hit Refresh All in the file, it still has 3.5k line items and still hasn't updated. I did the update around 2pm CST yesterday, and as of writing this it is currently 8:30am CST the next day. I don't understand how when I export to CSV, everything is updated but when I export a new file to Excel or when I refresh my old export that is still linked to my SharePoint list, it isn't updating. Please help. When I use the "Copy To" option to duplicate the folder, it successfully copies the structure but not the permissions (unique security settings) applied to the original folder and its subfolders. Is there a way to copy or automate this process so that both the folder structure and the permissions are replicated? Any suggestions, scripts, or tools to achieve this would be greatly appreciated. Any way to return this functionality? It's incredibly useful when searching to figure out where the result is... seems extremely counterintuitive to remove it.
