Somewhat i forced him to look at the car, after one hour they said no issues with the car. - Second time when i went for OIL change, I told about my millage issue, smoothness. This time they fixed my BREAK issue (reported earlier). After this service my millage reduced into 23-24 MPG combined. - Next time I showed them the proof of millage which I collected all document about the millage (taking a picture of odometer, gas receipt). I again complained about SMOOTHNESS, KEYLESS LOCK issues with the millage issue. They agreed to do the millage test (which i need fill the gas out of my pocket). They took 1 FULL day & called me saying, "we did all check up and ROAD test, your vehicle is working as designed". Note that this time they fixed my KEY LESS LOCK issue. I was very disappointed/frustrated. When i tried to take out of the service, i noticed there were not ROAD test been done in the car. When i asked about this, now they are saying, "We don't need to do the road test". *** As i said I am really frustrated.. How about other 2013 Elantra Owners? Do you have any of my issues? Please share it with me.. It will be helpful to move forward what i can do. I appreciate in advance, I too bought the 2013 Elantra Limited in October 2013 for the gas mileage and I am SEVERLY disappointed with the gas milage. I drive a combination of mixed highway and city driving, 110 miles each day. I average 20 MPG in the city, Never more than 32 on the hiway WITH the ECO button selected. Avg combined with the ECO button selected is 28.5 MPG., My 2013 Elantra GLS Sedan also has the Hankook P205/55R16 89H tires. The alignment on my Elantra has been excellent & the dealer recommended no tire rotation twice, which has turned out very well. Have had one tire rotation within the present 22,000 miles & tire tread all around looks very good..
Just had same issue with steering column. Car is 14 months with under 17K for miles. Steering started to lock ip. Dealer is replacing without any pushback. Somewhat disappointed with vehicle overall due to a variety of build quality issues. And now the letter from Hyundai about overstated MPG. May be rethinking Hyundai's quick rise to success., December 26, 2007 I purchased a used 2005 Hyundai Elantra GTS with 23,000 miles on it. In September of 2008 I took my car in to have the 30,000 mile service done. I was told that my rear brakes were completely worn and needed to be replaced., February 2013. I just bought a sweet 2006 Hyundai Elantra w/55k miles. No manual. Hyundai will not honor the warranty when something major happens to your car. I have a 2006 Elantra with 91,200 miles. This still falls under the Powertrain warranty that Hyundai is so proud to promote. In short, my engine seized due to overheating., Furthermore, the simple fact that Hyundai has put the EPS button on the steering wheel for the 2014 Sonatas is a clear indicator that they are aware of the safety issue. I see it more as adding a feature for the 2014 mid-generation refresh, at relatively low cost, that was already present on a lesser model in their lineup--the Elantra GT..
