If it goes in far, your will have irritation. Try using a size up in pillow size..
I have been using the Resmed airfit P10 nasal pillows for about a month now. Thanks to this board someone recommended it and it fits great and i have no issues. I enjoy using my cpap again. anyway i do get a little irritation with my nose and under my nose is a little red., For example, a nasal pillow mask can irritate the area just inside the nostrils. In contrast, a traditional full face or nasal mask is more likely to irritate the skin along the bridge of the nose. Similarly, nasal cradle CPAP masks may rub along the base of your nose., I would have assumed that the nasal pillow should fit right into the nostril itself. But if you're saying that it doesn't have to be plugged straight in and that the pressure should create enought of a seal, I'm wondering if I should increase the pressure from the CPAP to avoid the leakage., As those familiar with the Resmed P10 nasal pillow mask would be aware, one of the attractions of the mask is it's minimal headgear, just a single, but split, narrow fabric strap. These will help prevent sores. Be sure your straps are not pulled too tight. This pulls the pillows into the nostrils and can pull nose upwards, like a piggy nose. Try one size larger in nasal pillow than you are used to using..
