I've used a similar product (same dimensions and general description) in the aft centering ring of a few rockets for "Kaplow Klip" style motor retention. They work and hold great, and the beauty is you can use them for a retro-fit. Meaning, if the rocket is already built (as it was in at least 3 cases that I'm thinking of right now for me) you can drill the aft centering ring and install these inserts from the "outside" - unlike a "T-Nut" which must be installed from the "inside," therefore prior to completion or installation of the motor mount., McMaster Carr is the savior of new product development engineers everywhere. I have placed phone calls to McMaster at 4 pm and had a box of parts on my desk at 10 am the next morning. Ive ben ordering from mcmaster carr for years and years thanks to my dozens of other hoppies in addition to brewing. Their shipping charges are always pretty decent. Unless I order something heavy or oversized, its usually about 5.50 shipped from NJ to long island. You could always call them or email customer service and find out before you order., I just ordered a launch rail from McMaster-Carr, having heard of them here on TRF. I kept looking for a listing of shipping charges, but didn't find it. When I clicked through, I found that I had placed my order, and never got a shipping charge notice.
