Ive ben ordering from mcmaster carr for years and years thanks to my dozens of other hoppies in addition to brewing. Their shipping charges are always pretty decent. Unless I order something heavy or oversized, its usually about 5.50 shipped from NJ to long island. You could always call them or email customer service and find out before you order., I just ordered a launch rail from McMaster-Carr, having heard of them here on TRF. I kept looking for a listing of shipping charges, but didn't find it. When I clicked through, I found that I had placed my order, and never got a shipping charge notice. So, help me out! What else could I order from MMC, Anything you can get on McMaster is available elsewhere, as far as I know. The difference is that a) McMaster has instashipping. b) McMaster has nearly everything, so it's one-stop shopping. c) McMaster has a lovely, easily navigable website. d) You don't always know exactly what you will get from McMaster; they don't show brand names or the like. This applies more for equipment and specific , I am in the design phase of a carbon fiber 38mm MD rocket and am looking at options for fin material. I found some 1/16" thick rigid carbon fiber sheet/plate from McMaster-Carr that looks pretty good on their website. Has anyone here used this material before? I'm wondering just how.
