It has mostly been the up arrow, and it only does it sometimes. Sometimes, if I press other arrows or fiddle with the keys, it will stop or at least pause. And it will often be doing it in some apps and not others. For example, I could have a game open where my character will be constantly running up, and I could switch to my browser and it's perfectly fine. Then, back to the game and it's flying through the menus on its own. Even if I have two browsers open or just different tabs on the same browser, one will constantly be scrolling up and the next will be perfectly fine., So I have an HP laptop that is a few years old: 4 gb RAM, 500 GB hard drive, and 2.40 processor, Windows 8. For maybe a week or so now, my laptop suddenly started pressing the arrow keys randomly on its own - namely, the up arrow. I figured the key was stuck, but as many times as I took the, Lenovo Ideapad 110-15isk laptop keyboard keeps typing the letter "q". Sticky key is off and after inserting a usb keyboard the problem still persists. Also, a colleaque of mine who repairs laptops said that it had to be replaced and that it takes more than one day? Is that true? I'm worried that.
