I just had this same experience as well. And unfortunately, I can't upgrade yet since it will break compatibility with software that I need for work. Super frustrating. I went through Apple Support in hopes of at least getting them to log me as another data point for this problem, but the support tech didn't really seem interested in the resolution once I mentioned I was still on 14.7.1; even after pointing out that the website says it should be compatible. , I received my new Magic Mouse USB-C model, running 3.1.4. The issue is that it does not scroll up or down when swiping on the surface. I tried it on 2 macbooks. The mouse does not scroll. I can click and point, but not scroll. My old magic mouse scrolls fine., I paired my Mac's Magic Mouse to my Windows 10 laptop. Left and right click works fine but scrolling and special gestures won't work.
