My Aunt Barb worked for SPICER'S BOAT CITY OF HOUGHTON LAKE, INC for 35 years! Growing up my family would stop in on our way “up north” for the weekend. We’d run around the store sitting on boats, jet skis and snowmobiles. I would drool over the latest towables and wakeboards. I’d also get to see my Aunt, very happily, assisting customers with purchases to improve their boating experiences. In order to work somewhere for 35 years you have to enjoy it, be commited and have a strong work ethic. I’m truly blessed that my family is made up of multiple individuals with strong work ethics. Growing up they normalized dedication and a positive attitude towards what you do. Today was Spicers open house. On Spicers 60th anniversary it felt like it came full circle. My Aunt Barb got to enjoy stopping by to see me, her favorite nephew, and Shaw Stanley, her son in law, putting in the work.
