We went out to dinner tonight which we don't do very often. We like to cook our own food because we know what is in it. We went to Walter's Steakhouse in Wilmington, which we have beed told was very good. We did not leave with that impression. We were expecting something much different than what it was. Based on their menu prices I was expecting a much different location and atmosphere. For our appetizer we ordered crab stuffed mushrooms. They were actually very bland and the mushrooms were tough. For our entree, we ordered filet with crab meat on top with a side salad and twice baked potato. The potato was nothing more than mashed potato that was piped back into the potato skin. No flavor at all. The filet came out in large chunks of beef that looked more like beef cubes in a thick beef gravy. The crabmeat was floating in the beef gravy. Never saw filet served like that! Not good at all. The bill for 2 of us was $152.22 plus tip! Needless to say, we won't be back.
