(WJAC)EBENSBURG -- Wednesday, a jury came back with a guilty verdict on all charges for a New Jersey man accused of shooting and killing another man in Johnstown in 2015.Daron Shamburger was shot to death outside the Solomon Homes in Johnstown in December 2015.The jury found Aaron Mack guilty of first-degree murder and two counts of aggravated assault. It took the jury about 1 1/2 hours to deliberate.Shamburger’s father, Mitchell, said it's been a long process, but he's very thankful that justice was served for his son."It's been a long three days, listening to my son, watching him on the news dead. And I've watched a lot. And this killing, man, it has to stop,” Shamburger said. “There's no reward at the end. I lost my son. I'll never get him back. But justice was served today in Cambria County."The assistant district attorney says it was a difficult case, because witnesses didn't want to cooperate or tell the truth. One witness appeared, but refused to testify, and another witness did not show up.In the end, the assistant DA said the jurors felt they did have enough evidence to convict. Some of that evidence included video footage from the housing authority. You couldn’t quite make out who the people in the video were, but that’s where an eyewitness’s testimony came into play. That eyewitness was a cousin of both the defendant and the victim, and saw the shooting.Cambria County Assistant District Attorney Beth Bolton-Penna said despite difficulties, she was happy she could bring closure to the victim’s family."We're just happy that the family was able to get justice today. We're happy for the family and we're grateful to the jury for their hard work and their service,” Bolton-Penna said. “We know these jobs are never easy and the decisions are never simple. So we're grateful for all that the jury did."Mack was remanded to jail, awaiting a sentencing hearing.A date for that has not been set yet.Stay ConnectedLike UsFollow Ussbg-envelopeNewsletter Sign up /sign-upCookie PreferencesLoading ..., Sep. 22—EBENSBURG, Pa. — A Northern Cambria man was sentenced to prison on six charges of child pornography in Cambria County court on Sept. 16 after entering a no-contest plea in June., EBENSBURG -- Wednesday, a jury came back with a guilty verdict on all charges for a New Jersey man accused of shooting and killing another man in Johnstown in 2015..
