Official Social Media AccountsRadio Taiwan International Profile About Kuan-Ting ChenKuan-Ting Chen is a member of the Legislative Yuan (MP) representing Chiayi County Constituency 2. He was formerly the Special Assistant to the Chairperson President Tsai Ing-Wen, the CEO of Taiwan NextGen Foundation, and also an Adjunct Lecturer at Tamkang University's department of Diplomacy and International Relations. Previously, he assumed the role of Taipei City Government Deputy Spokesperson from 2018 to 2020. In this position, he worked to strengthen Taipei's national and international standing; formulate methods to realize public policy objectives, researched and generated activism for new policy directions, and initiated the Taipei City Government’s international internship program.Prior to his role at the Taipei City Government, Mr. Chen co-founded the Formosan Enterprise Institute, a nonprofit public policy organization headquartered in Washington DC. In addition, he has worked as a researcher with the National Security Council, Taiwan, specializing in Taiwan-Japan affairs and served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer at the Taiwan NextGen Foundation, a think tank focusing on policy research, recommendations, public discourse, and deliberation.Mr. Chen also has experience as the Director and Founder of Koko Farm Africa, a small-medium scale social enterprise based in Wakiso, Uganda, supporting women in areas including skill development, education, and medical access.After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2009, Mr. Chen continued on to earn his Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Tokyo.Meeting with new residents at an internationally streamed Cricket tournament in Taipei.Sharing Taipei's best practices for handling COVID-19 at the International GO SMART forum.Meeting with leaders from Taipei's South East Asian Community about the issue of Taipei Main Station.
