A lot of times, employers are not aware that by closing out their listing on the Indeed platform without taking any further actions through the platform that every applicant gets the "Not selected by employer" message. Note that in addition to being able to see resumes/cover letter/applicant info through the Indeed platform that the same info is emailed to the employer as well. Indeed works by scraping hundreds or thousands of other websites for real job postings, and recreates the information as a new job in its own format.
