just came back to Ansel after a year or so because after all, it's the easiest way to record stuff (don't remember why I uninstalled it in the first place, I guess I had performance issues and have read that GeForce could cause them) just to get greated with a "yeah, sorry I don't activate you the overlay because something something driver" and when trying to update the drivers it failed the installation. and after a manual and clean installation if got grated with this new interface. At first I thought, it's nothing special, just a new look and name, but soon got greated with the statistics hud, I couldn't dissble. Turns out you are forced to have a keybind for it, which I hate, because it kind of blocks this key from ANY other app. And you can't even costumize what it shows, means besides the FPS it always shows gpu/cpu% and something with LAT. And FPS and LAT are not even working. They are just N/A.I don't even gonna test how they have changed the recording and stuff. At this point I don't even have the patience to take the time to get used to the new overlay.I guess will do whatever it takes to get GeForce Experience working again.[edit]: After installing the new drivers manually I could just uninstall the app and reinstall experience. Luckily, Nvidia still has the download links up and running. you just need to have the right website languages. (if your webseite is in german for example, you get automatically redirected to the new app.) , Geforce Experience is getting deprecated, and the old Nvidia controlpanel is being merged fully with it at a later date. To answer your question; The new Nvidia app is miles better than Geforce Experience simply because it doesn't require logins to use., Geforce experience is spyware without benefits. As user you'll need only the standard graphic drivers which are also delivered with that driver package and even than you have to delete the "telemetry" stuff manually from your HD including folder/autostart and policies entries..
