Also, my son is allergic to insect bites and his always flare several times. Have you tried anti-histamine tablets? Horse fly bites are evil! Mine really hurt and it scarred for a couple of years! Hope you're feeling better?, Ewwww! Teeny tiny horse fly bit me about 5 days ago, it didn't notice until I felt the sting and brushed it off but it had already had a good feed on, As pp say horsefly bites hurt as they bite and often you get gross weepy yellow blisters. They apparently “macerate” the skin rather than stick a thin proboscis in like mosquitoes., Could be a horse fly bitethey seem to take ages to heal. Have you tried hydrocortisone cream on it? That works for me!, I probably shouldn't say this but I have antibiotic anti fungal cream on prescription for another condition and always put some of that on any bite to prevent infection. You need to either ring 111 if it's dramatically increasing in size tonight after taking piriton or get an urgent appointment with the gp in the morning., I was going to say horse fly bite as well. I got bitten on my arm a few years back and it looked like that and it was so painful! Much sympathy to you. Perhaps you could show a pharmacist and see why they think?.
