The route linking Baltimore, Annapolis, and Washington, DC is one of the most complete sections of Greenway. Shorter on-road sections link together lengthy stretches of trails, including the BWI Trail, the Baltimore & Annapolis (B&A) Trail, and the Washington Baltimore & Annapolis (WB&A) Trail., In East Baltimore, Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE) has agreed in principle to allow the Greenway to be built on its corridor. In South Baltimore, the CBAC development group has committed to building local sections of the Greenway as part of the South Baltimore Entertainment Zone., When complete, this study will identify the alignment and improvements needed to link over six miles of planned and existing greenway segments., We're working to create a continuous 35-mile loop, providing residents with a safe and active way to access the city’s major institutions and destinations, including universities, hospitals, museums, parks, schools, waterfronts and employment centers., The utility has expressed its support to Baltimore City officials and Baltimore Greenway Trails Coalition members for turning the corridor into a 1.5-mile trail, and the city and BGE are currently in negotiations to map out the terms., Baltimore Greenway Trails Network partners in collaboration with the East Coast Greenway and Baltimore County trail advocates are leading an effort to link the Baltimore Greenway and Jones Falls Trail to the Torrey C. Brown Trail in northern Baltimore County..
