I learned about this from a coworker (a West Coaster, go figure lol). I don't see this a terrible as ketchup on pizza, a bigger abomination. And if you do the chain pizza, many times you may order some wings and have extra ranch containers laying around. I can see how dipping the crust in ranch would help you get more out of chain pizza. Hawaiian pizza is okay but if I'm in the mood for pizza then it's going to be a "normal" pizza 99% of the time. Pepperoni, sausage, onions, etc. are where it's at..
That's a salt bomb to the point you won't even be able to taste anything but pepperoni. I went to a restaurant that served crisp pepperoni cups as just an appetizer with a dipping sauce and it was great. I wouldn't want that much pepperoni on a pizza though. Pizza is about ratios and balance., Buttermilk mayo and ranch packets if in a hurry is super delicious. I’m cutting calories so ranch is sadly not being eaten on everything for me… But we have two local pizza places with ranch that is to die for, Abby’s pizza has some ranch with I’m pretty sure blue cheese in it that’s great, then this place loggers has ranch with big , I used to love ranch.
