i run the latest coffe machine machine from nespresso, have been free camping for a week, without the need for a generator at all. running the entire van off inverter. except air con. single battery - 650 watts of solar on the roof. 1000 watt cont / 2000 watt peak sine wave inverter. never had the battery run under 50% capacity. i was also under a tree, so the panels were not getting full sun. the most they made under the tree was around 10-15 amps. the coffee machine takes around 3 min to make a coffee drawing around 120 amps. but over that 3 mins of time. it did not even make a difference in the battery. we are also very heavy power users as well., But my Nespresso coffee machine draws 1710 watts at 240 volt, which comes to 7 amps. What we need to remember the inverter needs to setup up 12 volt to 240 volts and as a result that 7 amps to run the coffee machine at 240 volt becomes a massive 63 amps at 12 volt., Hi all, just found this forum which is great. I use a woolworths coffee machine, run of a 2000 watt inverter, 2x 100 amp batteries and one 200 watt solar panel, 3 mins or so didn't drop battery voltage, so I made toast with the electric toaster as well, no issue at all!, I have an Expander Caravan on order with delivery in July 2021. Once received I wish to install a 3000w inverter suitable to operate a Nespresso coffee machine., I have a Gen Power 3000/6000w inverter off of ebay and is working a treat, runs the coffee machine, toaster, washing machine, beaters, cooktop have even used it to run the water heater once (used 140amps total power though)., The Nespresso machine is a permanent fixture in the van. The 220W folding solar panel that I bought for the panda was way to big to be comfortably portable so I decontructed it and the resulting two 110W panels have joined the 150W that came with the van on the roof., I just wired up one of the new projecta 1800w pure sine wave inverters last weekend. Has an optional remote which I’ve put by the door. Tested it on the nespresso machine and milk frother and ran both without raising a sweat. It’s wired to a GPO under the table., I want to put an inverter in the back of the BT connected to my second battery also for a Nesspresso Pod machine i've picked up for free. It will be used for coffee machine and Ryobi battery chargers (drills etc) only. The coffee machine is 1400W, but think a 1000W cont/2000W peak will be OK based on what others have said here..
