In view of these prices, I have trouble arguing with a ~$10 hatchet. I’d expect it'll be a dog and maybe the mangiest mutt of a hatchet ever seen, but it’d still be an appropriately priced beater and meant to be abused. I may try the new “axe” (in truth, hatchet) throwing craze on for size. If I do, ~$10 sounds good for a starter thrower. I expect I'll have to reprofile it to get it to work, but that’d be part of the deal with a ~$10 hatchet.
